Depart by car or van up north to Doi tung, the highest mountain in Chiang Rai where the climate is nice and cool almost all year around, where is really suitable for the Opium cultivation in the pass time. Visit the Royal Villa and the most beautiful garden in Asia where flowers are bloom all year around. Continue a short drive down hill to the monkey & fish cave where could be the only place in northern part of Thailand that there are still more than 300 wild Macaque monkeys protected by the community. A clear never dry stream is running out from the cave, see numerous and different kind of fish from the local merit making for their good fortune. Continue 15 minutes drive to the Burmese border town, Mae sai. You will be enable to visit and buy some gifts in a tourist souvenir market. Continue drive 30 minutes east to the infamous Golden Triangle for gorgeous panoramic view of the 2 rivers, Sob ruak and the great Mekhong which form the border of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. Visit a very interesting historical Opium museum and learn how Opium was planted and used in the past. The last stop will be made to visit an old magnificent Lanna style temple, Wat Jediluang in the ancient city, Chiang Saen.

Continue drive up to the highest peak of the Doi Tung mountain for its hawk eye view point of the both countries, then drive on the most exciting none tourist Burmese and Thai boundary road on the ridge where one side of the road is Burma and another side is Thailand which use as the old days’ opium Caravan’s trading trail, drive further with picturesque along the way down hill for 1 hour east to the infamous Golden Triangle for gorgeous panoramic view of the 2 rivers, Sob Ruak and the great Mekhong which form the border of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar.
